Dr. Cheryl A. Luther, DC, MS, CCEP, CSCS, PES After completing her undergraduate work at Grand Valley State University, Dr. Cheryl Luther attended Life University in Marietta, Georgia where she completed her Masters degree in Sports Injury Management as well as her Doctoral degree in Chiropractic. Dr. Luther combines multiple degrees, certificates and professional experience to provide both corrective exercise and sport performance based services. This integrative approach of treating the body as a whole, promotes a proactive design toward athletic performance while also effectively treating numerous kinetic chain deficiency related injuries.
As an accomplished athlete, Dr. Luther understands the importance of a properly functioning body and quick recovery from injury. After completing her high school athletic career with track and soccer, Dr. Luther continued to play soccer at the collegiate level at GVSU. Upon graduation with her Bachelors in Communications, her soccer career transitioned to Women’s Professional Football with the Detroit Demolition and the Atlanta Xplosion. With Dr. Luther as a starting wide-out, both teams won national titles. She continues to stay active by cycling, playing football and soccer, and competing in triathlons. Through all of her athletic experiences, she has suffered many injuries including concussions, broken bones, torn ACLs, A/C joint separation, etc. With this in mind, Dr. Luther is able to draw from her experience and use her insight to complete appropriate assessment, training, and exercise protocols necessary to meet each patient’s individual needs.
John McCracken: Clinic Assistant  John is originally from Michigan and an overall sports enthusiast. He studied at Madonna University in Livonia, MI where he received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. John was also an All-American baseball player in the National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Now living in Atlanta, John enjoys being a productive member of the SSPI team.
Patrick McWhirter: Massage Therapist
Patrick is a Georgia Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) who received his Certification in massage therapy from the Academy of Somatic Healing Arts, (ASHA), massage school, in Atlanta, GA. Patrick is certified by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB), and is also a professional member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). He has personally experienced the frustration of enduring athletic injuries that hinder the enjoyment of being active. He is now pursuing his dream of offering this healing art to others. Patrick is passionate about getting you back to a pain-free, physically balanced state so you can get back to enjoying your passions!
